An article on the LIFE ENRICH project, published in Innovagri

Recently, a piece of news about the LIFE ENRICH project, led by Cetaqua, has been published in Innovagri. Through an interview with Xavier Petit (ASG) and Núria Basset (Cetaqua), the article highlights the application of fertilizers obtained from nutrients recovered from wastewater in winter crops such as legumes and vegetables. In LIFE ENRICH, these nutrients recovered in wastewater treatment plants are used as a resource for farmers, just like conventional fertilizers, thus promoting circular economy.

The implementation of the project in a pilot-scale is being carried out in Aigües del Segarra Garrigues (ASG), the company managing the distribution of the irrigation of the canal that runs for more than 80 kilometers in Lleida. The fertilizers obtained within LIFE ENRICH are being tested in two demonstration fields in Castelldans and Agramunt. On the other hand, the pilot plant for the recovery of nutrients is located in the Murcia Este wastewater treatment plant.

The Innovagri portal is an initiative of Eumedia S.A., where all the available information on innovation applied to the agricultural sector is available.
