The German technical-scientific journal gwf-Wasser has published an article entitled “Wastewater as a resource for nitrogen recovery”, written by Dr. Lyko, which gives an overview of the innovative nitrogen recovery system developed in the LIFE ENRICH pilot, in Murcia (Spain).
Specifically, LIFE ENRICH is developing an innovative treatment train integrating leading-edge technologies that will enable an efficient recovery of both Nitrogen and Phosphorus contained in wastewater, as ammonium salts and struvite, respectively. The products obtained will be blended in order to obtain suitable bio-fertilizers for the target crops, thus contributing to the circular economy while boosting synergies between water and agriculture sectors.
